Ahh my favorite genre (although it still eludes me on how to make it lol), and done exceptionally well. Damn... that deep nasely base sounds extremely nice, it's complimenting the wierd but cool add of lyrics to this. This is actually the first time I've heard semi un altered dub to a dnb track with excellent clarity. Normally it's dark, warped and fades into the bass :P So my hats off to you mate. Is this a contest entry? I would be looking closely at this one as a "judge" just because the main artist is there and the music pushes this ladies voice very well. And add's "that feel" of wanting to jump around.
Excellent depth field, that asian pad + blow synth thing is damned awesome, wish I heard it more through out that track, theres some spots where there is some "holes" in your depth field and that sound if a tad louder (perhaps a different version of it) would make peoples hair stand on end from chills. Because it would complete the depth field of the production.
So i'm going to through some idea's at you:
That bleepy synth that is over powered shortly into the song needs some work. No need to be shy with it, I believe it needs another layer to it, um another sound following the same chord roll, sort of shadowing it I believe would add more depth to the sound that's there.
Hole at 3:26 asian pad blow synth thing needs to shine right there, along with the accented bleepy synth. (will complete that surreal feel your going for).
Some delay at some points on Camryn's voice (nothing too fancy, but will add, just don't do it all the time, use Ohm Force if you have it).
Short accented pad stabs sort of rolling into the build up's and end's of Camryn's voice.
Hmm.. lol, I know I know. Hey it sounds good as it is, I'm just throwing as much at you as I can to help you secure number 1. And it's the little things that will stop that from happening.
Cheers mate =)

an example of layering

It's definitely quirky :P The distortion drum sounds real good, excellent compressor on that, the rest of the song shines through beautifully from behind and in front of that sound. The production is tight, really tight, I know your approaching this from a very minimalist stance so I know lush chords etc weren't going to be heard. I'm not going to nit pick on your genre though (although this is idm/ minimal) as progressive electronica constantly gets bigger, and bigger and bigger, you hear more and more and more, see what I'm saying? Thats really my only thing lol, nothing too bad. Alright so onto the production:
The drums I feel might have a tad bit too much crunch on them, I hear your compressor (I'm not supposed to hear the compressor) going into overdrive to stop it from flooding the song, makes sort of a wavy sound as it bops those frequencies back into place.
Perhaps a complimentary synth to go with the main "quirky" one, could even be in the same chord range, just a different sound to back up your quirky synth, or more synth's altogether, could easily clone that main one, and offset it by a few milliseconds and have it to the extreme left, and extreme right of the song. (that would sound pretty cool) Sort-of like delay but this is manual delay lol and it includes panning.
Hmm I believe this is coming along well though, your still working on it correct? So i'm trying to give you some immediate idea's that will spruce this bad boy up.
Excellent work so far. Cheers!

Damn... listening as I review. It's hard to review something that has completely caught my attention lol... The chord twist on the sine pad is pro, that really seals the deal with the volume envelope in, rotational phaser? Either way I love it. The guitar sounds real, probably is real lol, so do the drums =) The entire production is very solid, very smooth, very fluid. The beat accents the depth field, and that pad is expertly used. Bravo. Maybe for the future a little more "umph" on the guitar picks, nothing to do with the quality or frequency used, it's just a volume thing, real minor. And maybe a roll out at the end... right now it's like the drummer threw his sticks on the ground and the band just left :P But that's really my take on things, if you wanted to be cheap you could just fade out the abrupt end :P
I really enjoyed the song though, yanked my attention away from the screen the entire time.
So even in it's current state I'm gonna give you a 10.
Outstanding work

Hot damn, this is a nice track. I see why it got nothing but 10s a few years ago. It still sounds good as hell.
It bounces all over the place (in a good way). Lots of crazy sounds and everything staying interesting the entire time. Production is top notch, and sounds as good as anything I've heard lately. I'd love to see you come back with a new track in this same style sometime soon. Let me know if you do.
What more can I say that hasn't already been said? Great work on this one, and thanks for reviewing mine. Later.

Wowza! This one is really funky and crisp!
Love the soundstage and the sound clarity. It kinda reminds me of something Chemical brothers could produce.
Great job man!
This is just awesome. Let's hear some more :)
