this is a tribal ambient trancey *in a world music way* track that uses *invader vst synth, which is the aphex twin ' ish ambient works sound. it is a great fx synth too! i recommend trying it out.

The didgeridoo samples come from a site that sells the instruments...i've tried to find it again to share that info but to no avail.

may be good meditation music

Great diddy, although ambient I honestly found enough rythm and lucidity in this to play it a few times and actually tap along, quite ambitiously too I might add haha.

The tribal drumming with the aphex twin like synth, really belong together, add in the (water, rain, rocks?) ambient sound effects and it genuinely captures the sound of this planet. With the dijieridoo sounds, the synth vocal, and the middle eastern sounding snake charming bit, I think you succeeding in creating a very natural earth toned tune here. Fantastic job man.

The harmonies that play out throughout the whole thing are fantastic, but I particularly enjoyed the end of this track, from the reprise at around 4 minutes to stacked style outro I was pretty much in an african cape relaxin and maxin.

Generally not my style, but god damn fine work my friend.

This track is very cool. It is sort am mix of Dead Can Dance and Ambient Works vol. 2. I am into a lot of world music and use a lot of the same elements in my work. The sound is big and round yet very dynamic and lush. I am going to seek out that synth. Nicely done. Thank you for sharing it.

wow this is an old one isnt it?
wow, i like it from the beginning. great percussions. the noise in the intro is excellent! oman, some AWESOME trippy sounds here. WOOOOW>>>>respect!!!
the congas/bongos sound awesome. very tribal vibe.
i dont agree with the high frequency that synth hits close to the end of that variation. the part that sounds like a bird tweet.
lsd!
good variations. very dynamic. that deap voice reminded me of shpongle. so great job on that! How did you make those sounds? another WOW.
overall: thanks for showing me this. saved this to my collection ;) 10/10.

the more meditative track i heard from you and realy ambient
some moment completely out of time and site remind me harry partch
(tuned percussion strange noise)
a sort of "fourth world music"

from time too time a more classicaly tonal climax appear but logicaly

that's realy different from others eman8ions songs i have listen to, but however, i still recognize your style (a compliment)

the mix of electronic and world sound is clever, nice use of verb (just enough)
the track construction is nice (keeps attention)

you have your universe....

hey!!

i've had this track for quite some time now, and i've been listening to it quite often. you know, kinda letting it play when i'm doing other things like work and cooking etc, which is what ambient is for in my opinion - a background to life - well that's brian eno's philosophy and he invented the style.

i just read aerolith's review too, and he kinda makes too much fuss over its description - well to tell you the truth - i forgot the description since i downloaded it - i just let it go. i think the beats are tribal enough anyway - not all tribes are crazy psychotic skull mashers.

this track has a lot of the early ambient feel to it. very minimal, yet takes you on a journey which is punctuated with some really nice and interesting sounds. particulary the pipe soiunds which you emulate quite well. i really love 3;30 - great voice - a nice native australian feel to it now - you do mix the cultures a little regarding what you believe is 'tribal' - i've never liked the word tribal much anyway. it implies heirarchy, where in reality, the cultures and symbolisms of what the 'west' refers to as 'tribes' is equally as rich and sophisticated as that at any given moment in western history - i'm not blaming you for that though - just the commercial use of the term for classifying music.

anyway, enough of my rant - i really like this track - i wouldn't have played it so often if i didn't. for myself it really sums up the essence of true ambient music. nic eone - gets my vote too.

Artist Reply :: 11.7.2003 :: thank you doctor :-) i know it's rare for me as well to listen to sz artist tracks again and again, but there are more and more that i do that with these days. i really appreciate your comments about that...and great complements. admittedly I would have liked to do a bit more with the drums...i hear ya about the 'tribal' reference...i think of hand drums and other acoustic ethnic instruments that can help conjure up that flavour of indiginous cultures. thanks again and i'll check out your link soon :) :: by: eman8ions
