Very good use of the 8-bit sounds. The vocal are well introduced and they are at a perfect volume. Maybe you should've add panning with the vocals. The delay is very nice with the 8-bits! Maybe add more riff/pattern for your 8-bit too, Overflowing the Ears! Adding more panning for the sounds too, like slicing left/right or glitching (Just giving some tips.) :). At the top, it is indeed a very good track (As I am a fan of 8-bits.). I love your ending because there is a different patern with some left/right playing. See you for your next track!

What can I say, this is brilliant and it's by going that extra mile to follow the contest premise - using lyric in this case - that pushes it from a neat 8bit track to a victorious masterpiece.
I'd love to see the lyrics posted! Please!!!
It also gives me a contest idea... like... 8 bit mutant ninja battles... which would use the music/beat of your track and allow others to battle lyrically back & forth ... if you're willing I could see such a thing becoming a sectionz mainstay & identifier like the SEMG is.... consider it & let me know how you'd feel about that matt.
massive props dude, this piece is tops so make sure you save your project file and highest quality wav and be sure to have a backup of them as well. I can see this rising very very high if we get it to the 'right peoples' ears.
cheers.

Starting off I was reminded of the pop sound from the 80's. Vocals come in and fits in smoothly with the song. Must compliment the vocals as there is plenty potential. Cool key sounds with good bass running and drums suits the song style. Overall vocals are good and music is mighty fine as well. Nice one mate.

Whoa yeah....this is f**king awesome dude! 8 bit, bouncy bassline and funked up vox for smart measure.
Kinda reminds me of an Electric Six feel with that bassline and tongue-in-cheek lyrics. The 8 bit synth stabs give it a more original feel. Overall sound production sounds mint. Cleverly worked vocals, drums / percs and those stabs. This is fressshhh! Nice synth work towards the end as well.
Originality = 10/10. Production = 10/10. Enjoyability = 10/10....this choon grows on ya. Congrats mate, loving this. Well done.

Hey mate,
I just absolutely love this - and so does anyone i play it to.
For your first rap ever, the lyrics are above and beyond what i would expect - skillfully crafted, clever, funny, well paced. I was laughing for most of it, and it's got so many memorable phrases in it that will stick with me. You're pretty talented at writing, didn't know you had it in you.
Not only is the rap good, but the music bed is slick and fits the ninja 8 bit theme just right. Lots of pulse waves, arp stuff and snappy little drums. The melodies sound distinctly Asian to me and conjured up images of feudal Japan and pixelated computer game sword fights. It's a great package overall and it's all kept together with an aussie accent (instant win).
My one and only criticism is that perhaps some of the end melody variation could have been introduced in the middle of the song, and perhaps the ending goes a little too long - but to be honest it didn't really bother me at all, I can just imagine other people might tire of the end and press skip.
I think you satisfied all the criteria and then spiced it right the fuck up with a hilarious rap and quality production skills. I hope to god that you get a prize for this because this track is something very special.
PS - I enjoyed the panning effects at the end, hard panning never killed anyone!
