I'm 24, been making music now for nearly four years on and off.
I was inspired along time ago by re-birth but never really got into it because i didn't understand it at the time, i was always wanting to make drum and bass as i loved the way sped up breaks sound. eventually i bit the bullet and bought a copy of reason and decided I was gonna try make tunes with my spare time.
My genre of choice when it comes to electronic music is Drum and Bass although i used to listen to a lot of stuff by the orb and orbital, little fluffy clouds had me hooked on tripped out sampled music for a good while.
Sectionz is a great place for people who are learning to produce, i spent a lot of time listening to and reviewing other peoples tunes and receiving reviews in the process. the reviews i received helped me no end i can still remember some of the first reviews i had which pointed me in the right direction and gave me a reality check...
Recently i have been quite busy with other commitments but i have found the time to make a few tunes. I have been working almost exclusively in logic 7.2 using samples and synths and then mixing down my main bus channels through an outboard mixer.
My current setup is an Intel Mac with reason, live, logic , Korg Legacy collection, edirol 101a soundcard, Rubicon R5a (not recommended for dance music) monitors and an evolution keyboard.
